At around 9pm in the evening the coach took off. At around half past 7 am, we entered the border checking site, after passing through the identity check without any trouble we got onto the ferry, with the coach.

On the ferry, we had a tasty breakfast. We spent most of our free time exploring it. Following our arrival in England, we took the coach for

2 hours until we came to Greenwich.

In Greenwich, we visited the site of Greenwich, which is notable for its maritime history as well as giving its name to the Greenwich Meridian. There, in the park around the Royal Observatory, we picnicked.

After eating, we went on a boat tour that went through London showing the great architecture of the city. It was a beautiful experience, we traversed the city as the sun showed from underneath the plain gray clouds, turning the sky into a pleasant blue color and blinding us with its powerful rays.

Then, we hopped on the bus heading to the British museum. Inside it, we took selfies with the paintings and had a lot of fun. Overall, the museum was a very interesting destination. As we found our way to the exit, tired and exhausted, we went on that day’s last trip, to meet our host families.

The process of meeting with the families and discovering the bedrooms were unique experiences, with all the pupils liking their families and having lots of great stories to tell at the end of the first day.

After a great night with our guest family, we gathered at 8 AM to take the coach. To discover this city, we did a Treasure Hunt! We split into groups and for one hour we discovered many colleges and even saw all the different amazing churches . That was really impressive and funny.

We also had one hour to shop, to eat and to buy everything we wanted !  Most of the pupils bought some gifts and memories for their family.

Then, we had a guide tour of Oxford : we visited several colleges, and many other historical places.. It was very interesting.

Finally, with  teachers and our classmates, we were fortunate to taste a cream tea for the first time ! That was really delicious and was a wonderful experience. And to end this incredible day, we still had some time to shop, before going back to our host families.

The third day felt surprisingly short. In the morning, we went to Buckingham Palace to watch the king’s changing of guards, march down the road.

Then, we took a walk down Saint James Park. Despite the cloudy weather, the park sparkled with a thousand beautiful colors. As we walked slowly through the stunning gardens, we were surrounded by hundreds of pink and white trees, followed by squirrels. There, we picnicked under the warm sun that had suddenly appeared in the now blue sky.
Next, we went to the Lyceum Theatre where we would attend the presentation of the Lion King. The theater was gigantic, it looked one to one like the luxurious French theaters where Molière would play his acts, watched by the French king.

At half past 2 pm, everybody sat down impatiently in their seats awaiting the start of the show. From the first word that was said, we all knew that we were going to have an extraordinary time. The actors and their talent were admirable, they ran, jumped, and danced, in synchrony, throughout the entirety of the musical. The sound design was also stunning, immersing everyone in the already seemingly perfect play.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, no words can righteously capture how amazing it was.

On Thursday morning we had the opportunity to discover and to play cricket. We did some exercises and some challenges. The pupils and some of their teachers participated in all the different games. At the end, we were really happy and enjoyed this moment ! We were even offered a signed cricket bat for the classroom.

After that, we headed to Windsor and had our picnic in the park.

Then, we had one hour to shop in Windsor. We also visited Windsor castle, it was very impressive and amazing ! We learnt about the history of the kingdom.

Finally, we had one more hour to shop before we went back to the coach.

Today, Friday, March 28th, marked the end of our stay in London and was the last time we met our host families. For our final destination in London, we visited the Tower of London, where we saw the Crown Jewels and many ancient artifacts. There aren’t many things to say about it other than it was a nice and somewhat interesting experience.

We even had some free time afterwards to either explore the shops inside the tower or to walk a bit, enjoying the majestic view of London.

Then, we all sat inside the coach and went on another 15-hour journey, back to France. As the coach started moving, the realization that tomorrow we would be back at home set in. It had been an extraordinary week. Each day we visited and saw various places, walking beside the people we enjoyed being with, talking, laughing and sometimes screaming. The sheer fact that we were sleeping inside the same rooms with our closest friends was already overwhelming. This trip will always be a part of our fondest memories.

On the ferry, after enjoying a delicious meal, some classmates played board games together, others explored nearby shops and a few just sat by the windows, enjoying the view of the waves and the vast ocean.

Before we knew it, we were back on the bus, awakened by the teachers telling us that we had arrived home.
